Intern/Co-op - HES&S Process Safety

Location: Findlay, Ohio; onsite, 40 hours per week

Salary: $34.15–$43.23 per hour

What you will do

• Support process safety programs and maintain compliance with Process Safety Management, Risk Management Plan, and internal and external standards.
• Conduct and coordinate facility siting, Process Hazard Analysis, Layer of Protection Analysis, Management of Change, risk calibration, and mitigation activities.
• Work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve process safety issues and deliver process safety training.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses, reviewing recommendations and supporting recurrence prevention.
• Perform or validate process safety leak calculations, analyze metrics and trends, and prepare reports.
• Coordinate compliance audits, assurance activities, and support regulatory inspections or enforcement actions.

Requirements

• Pursuing and concurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical Engineering throughout the internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work onsite 40 hours per week in Findlay, Ohio.
• Able to safely climb multiple flights of stairs or ladders and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting and work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
