Platform Engineering Manager (Cloud/Data/SAP)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a hybrid team of internal engineers and external partners across SAP, cloud operations, DevOps, and data engineering.
• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for the internal self-service platform across AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and SAP BTP.
• Gather requirements from software engineering, data science, SAP, analytics, and product squads through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
• Define platform services such as cloud account provisioning, Snowflake data pipelines, SAP BTP integration wrappers, landing zones, and CI/CD templates.
• Improve developer experience through internal portals, service catalogs, CLI tools, documentation, and adoption measurement.
• Track DORA metrics, uptime, adoption, cloud expenditure, FinOps performance, and compliance with GDPR and security policies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience combining engineering or people management with product ownership for internal platforms, developer tools, or infrastructure and data services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud concepts and practical experience or solid theoretical knowledge of AWS and/or Azure.
• Familiarity with data warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, data loading, and modern data engineering pipelines.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing technical requirements using Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methodologies.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills for working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English and French, written and spoken, are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP BTP Integration Suite and Extension Suite.
• Experience with internal developer portals such as Backstage or AWS Service Catalog.
• Strong understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Background as a software engineer, data engineer, or DevOps/SRE professional.
