DevOps Engineer (EU)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or office-based within the listed European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and The Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 2,750–4,800 gross per month. Additional annual bonus opportunities may provide up to EUR 1,000 per month depending on expertise.

What you will do

• Monitor and manage software versions, dependencies, vulnerabilities, and end-of-life components using Aikido, Renovate, and related tools.
• Prepare upgrade plans, perform impact analysis, and coordinate major updates with developers.
• Maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines covering linting, SAST, builds, automated tests, SonarQube quality gates, Docker/Kaniko builds, Trivy scanning, artifact publication, and SBOMs.
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues and support releases across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Adapt pipelines to application and technology-stack changes and resolve recurring DevOps issues.
• Maintain operational documentation in Confluence and contribute to monthly update-status reporting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or build and release engineering for production web applications.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Git, merge request workflows, Docker, container registries, and Kaniko or similar rootless build tools.
• Experience with dependency and vulnerability management using Renovate or Dependabot, Aikido or Snyk, Trivy, and SonarQube or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Java build tools such as Maven or Gradle, plus working knowledge of AWS, RHEL, and Docker Compose.
• Experience with Vault or similar secrets-management solutions, least-privilege access, secure CI/CD practices, and Splunk or similar monitoring tools.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or above and Italian at Intermediate level or above are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET build tooling, including MSBuild, dotnet CLI, or NuGet.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications on Windows Server or IIS.
