Director of Developer Experience - Platform Engineering (AI)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid work setup with up to 2 remote days per week

What you will do

• Lead the AI Developer Experience team and own the existing CI and Developer Experience scope.
• Build tools and workflows that enable AI agents to write, test, review, and merge code with reliable feedback, evaluation, security checks, and controls.
• Own testing and feedback infrastructure for the monolith and satellite services, including CI/CD and build systems.
• Define and operationalize developer productivity metrics such as DORA and autonomous change rate.
• Lead the inner-loop experience across local and remote environments, onboarding, editor integration, and sandboxing.
• Build the team, develop agentic engineering skills, and partner with Product Engineering and Product Management.

Requirements

• Experience leading large-scale Developer Experience transformations and organisations serving 300+ engineers.
• Deep technical credibility across CI/CD, build and test infrastructure, monorepo build graphs, test selection, caching, merge queues, and flake management.
• At least 5 years of experience as a manager of managers, including hiring and developing engineering managers and staff-plus individual contributors.
• Strong written communication, structured thinking, architecture judgment, and measurable productivity and adoption outcomes.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted or agentic engineering transformation, including evaluation, security, guardrails, adoption, and productivity measurement.
• Experience with large legacy codebases, monoliths, or regulated and high-trust environments such as healthcare.
• Experience leading multi-country distributed engineering organisations.
