Senior Enterprise Solution Architect (ERP/PLM/MES)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; on-site. The role requires up to 25% travel, including day trips and overnight travel, and occasional nights, weekends, or on-call work.

What you will do

• Define, document, and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap across IT/OT infrastructure, software platforms, and business goals.
• Design and govern enterprise applications including ERP, PLM, MES, CRM, and data warehouse platforms.
• Establish master data management, system-of-record boundaries, and governance for item masters, ECOs, and EBOM-to-MBOM transformations.
• Lead secure, scalable integrations between shop-floor OT, cloud platforms, ERP, and MES.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and IT teams on system blueprints, technology selection, and transformation roadmaps.
• Evaluate vendors and platforms through technical trade studies, proofs of concept, and build-versus-configure assessments while addressing technical debt and modernization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, mechanical or industrial engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8–10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or lead systems architecture.
• Experience in advanced engineering, hardware, aerospace, automotive, clean energy, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Experience leading or delivering at least 2–3 full-lifecycle implementations or modernizations connecting PLM, ERP, and MES/MOM platforms.
• Ability to move between enterprise roadmaps and detailed technical, API, and schema design, while communicating trade-offs across executive, technical, and shop-floor stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in an industrial facility with heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics; extended typing, standing, and sitting are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Aras Innovator, or PTC Arena.
• Experience with ERP, MES, SCADA, or automation platforms including SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Siemens Opcenter, Ignition, or Rockwell FactoryTalk View.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, ISA-95, PLM XML, edge computing, and IIoT shop-floor integration.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, cloud-native design patterns, hybrid deployments, and identity or security protocols.
