Principal Solutions Architect (Federal IT)

Location: McLean, VA, USA; on-site every Wednesday

Salary: up to USD 175,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead innovative, compliant, and executable technical solutions for strategic federal and defense opportunities.
• Serve as the technical lead for captures and proposals, collaborating with capture, business development, proposal, engineering, and operations teams.
• Translate customer mission requirements into differentiated architectures, delivery strategies, and scalable operational solutions.
• Lead solutioning sessions, architecture reviews, workshops, technical exchanges, and customer presentations.
• Develop reusable solution components, standardized approaches, technical capabilities, and technology roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, automation, DevSecOps, digital modernization, and enterprise IT transformation.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• On-site presence in McLean, VA every Wednesday; local candidates are preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or related technical leadership.
• Experience leading technical solution development for large, complex federal pursuits and supporting DoD, Navy, Federal Civilian, or other federal environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, systems engineering, data analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with enterprise technologies, cloud ecosystems, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data architectures, emerging technologies, and federal contracting collaboration.

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience with large federal growth organizations, strategic capture programs, high-value pursuits, cloud modernization, cybersecurity transformation, AI/ML, DevSecOps, and digital transformation.
• Advanced degree and experience advising executive leadership, customers, and growth teams.
