Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly (Fusion)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

Salary: $110,000–$185,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Develop and implement manufacturing lines in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
• Analyze and optimize processes to improve productivity, efficiency, cost, and product quality.
• Create and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure product manufacturability.
• Lead the design and procurement of production tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, conduct time and motion studies, and implement continuous improvement, automation, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, and manufacturing ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work autonomously and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to work on-site in a facility with industrial hazards, including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics; ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
