Technical Writer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote from select locations in the United States; hybrid schedule available for candidates based in the Chicago, IL metro area.

What you will do

• Research and write technical content about cybersecurity, identity security, privileged access management, password security, non-human identities, and related technologies.
• Create product one-pagers, datasheets, solution briefs, comparison guides, white papers, blog posts, and website content.
• Develop educational content covering security trends, risks, compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Translate complex technical concepts, workflows, architecture, integrations, and implementation considerations into clear content for technical and business audiences.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, SEO, and subject matter experts to validate accuracy, optimize content, and maintain consistent terminology.
• Manage multiple content projects from research and outlining through review, revisions, and publication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, content marketing, product marketing, or a related field.
• Experience writing about technical products, software, cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology.
• Strong research, interviewing, writing, editing, multitasking, and project-management skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical information clearly to different audiences and collaborate with engineers, product managers, marketers, and subject matter experts.
• Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, consistency, ownership, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States; hybrid work is available in the Chicago, IL metro area.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity, identity and access management, privileged access management, password management, or compliance.
• Familiarity with content management systems, preferably WordPress.
