Salary: $125,000–$140,000 USD base salary per year, plus equity.

Company

hirify.global is building a human-first drug discovery platform using organoids, AI, and real human biological data to improve translation from preclinical research to clinical outcomes.

What you will do

  • Process human lymphoid tissue and primary cells into single-cell suspensions and organoid cultures.
  • Apply donor acceptance criteria, track donor metadata, and optimize protocols under aseptic conditions.
  • Perform cryopreservation, thawing, recovery, and cell banking with full chain of custody and LN2 inventory reconciliation.
  • Run flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD, ELISpot, cytotoxicity, imaging, and qPCR assays as required.
  • Analyze data using FlowJo, Prism, or equivalent tools and communicate findings in partner study summaries.
  • Draft and revise SOPs, train team members, maintain equipment and reagent inventories, and support EH&S programs.

Requirements

  • PhD in immunology, cell biology, bioengineering, or a related field with 0–2 years of postdoctoral or industry experience; or an MS with 5+ years of relevant industry experience; or a BS with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Hands-on proficiency in primary human cell or tissue culture, strict aseptic technique, cryopreservation, and cell-stock tracking.
  • Hands-on proficiency in flow cytometry and at least one additional immune assay method.
  • Strong documentation, data integrity, scientific rigor, experimental design, communication, and data presentation skills.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Brisbane, California, including occasional weekend work.
  • Ability to work with human-derived tissue and cells at BSL-2, wear a tight-fitting respirator when required, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lb.

Nice to have

  • Secondary lymphoid organ biology, organoid, or 3D culture experience.
  • Formal cell banking with sterility, mycoplasma, and identity release testing.
  • Spectral or high-parameter flow cytometry, including 15+ colors.
  • iPSC culture, stem cell-derived immune models, higher-throughput workflows, or liquid-handling automation.
  • SOP authoring in a GLP- or GMP-aware environment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Human-relevant immunology work supporting drug development decisions.
  • Early-team opportunity to build processes used as the company scales.
  • Direct work on studies for biopharma partners.
  • Growth path toward Scientist II and process leadership.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); paid time off; equity.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination is offered for work involving human-derived tissue and cells.
