Operations Analyst – Mid Office (Fintech)

Base salary: $100,000–$140,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Perform intraday and next-day trade reconciliation and support accurate, timely settlement.
• Calculate and reconcile daily P&L and monthly invoices with exchanges, clearing firms, and counterparties.
• Identify trade and settlement breaks, analyze root causes, and drive corrections with clearing firms.
• Support the trade lifecycle, account openings, position, trade and cash transfers, and margin or collateral monitoring.
• Partner with Trading, IT, Risk, and other support functions to onboard exchanges, clearing firms, and trading platforms.
• Analyze large datasets, create reports, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of experience in financial markets or a trading environment preferred.
• Experience interacting with trading or technology groups.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Analytical problem-solving, root-cause analysis, communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
• Series 99 or Series 7 required, or willingness to obtain the qualification within the first year of employment.

Nice to have

• Technical experience with SQL, VBA, Power Query, Python, QlikSense, or other data tools and programming languages.
