What you will do

• Lead editorial planning and execute daily coverage for Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Chicago.
• Develop long-term editorial packages and special projects for hirify.global.com and newsletters.
• Manage full-time reporters and freelancers, supporting organization and professional growth.
• Assign articles and line edit online stories, newsletters, and morning briefs.
• Recruit and develop high-caliber writers and editors while maintaining quality journalism standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working on an editorial team, including experience managing reporters.
• Experience working at a daily news pace and handling high-volume coverage.
• Strong storytelling, editing, recruiting, and news judgment skills.
• Clear, friendly, highly organized, goals-based management style.
• Extensive experience with content management systems and basic SEO knowledge.
• Deep familiarity with the commercial real estate news landscape in Texas and Chicago.
