Strategic Sourcing Senior Advisor - Clinical Platforms (Healthcare Technology)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days in the office and two days working from home

Base pay: $102,000–$184,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing and category management for clinical platforms and healthcare technology solutions.
• Analyze business needs, sourcing options, supplier capabilities, and market intelligence.
• Support supplier selection, negotiations, contract drafting, contract oversight, and supplier partnership development.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives, supplier risk management, and business relationship management.
• Partner with clinical teams, business stakeholders, IT leaders, and suppliers on SaaS, platform architecture, API integrations, interoperability, and data platforms.
• Connect procurement strategies to medical cost management, quality outcomes, member and provider experience, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supplier management, or category management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strategic thinking, analytical ability, business acumen, conflict resolution skills, and consistent thought leadership.
• Strong executive presence and excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in the Chicago office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Understanding of the payer clinical ecosystem and health plan operations.
• Experience discussing SaaS, platform architecture, API integrations, and data platforms.
• Management or team supervisory experience.
• Experience with e-Procurement, Procure-to-Pay, and contracting systems.
• MBA or master’s degree.
