Procurement Director (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii

Salary: $189,000–$220,448 in starting total cash, including base salary and bonus; equity is also offered.

What you will do

• Lead company-wide procurement, from intake requests through contract renewal, and report to the Chief Financial Officer.
• Run strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiate complex vendor contracts covering pricing, terms, risk, and service levels.
• Own and optimize the Zip procurement platform, including intake routing, approval workflows, and user experience.
• Analyze spend, build financial models, and align purchasing decisions with budgets and business priorities.
• Build proactive renewal tracking and maintain complete, auditable records of vendor commitments.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, AI, Security, and Finance to maintain effective legal, financial, and purchasing standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 7 years in strategic sourcing.
• Hands-on experience with sourcing execution, procurement team leadership, commercial contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Strong spend analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, supplier evaluation, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Legal, Privacy, AI, Security, and Finance teams.
• Understanding of governance and regulatory requirements, with experience tracking contract renewals and obligations in auditable systems.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Experience using or optimizing the Zip procurement intake platform.
• Healthcare or health-tech experience.
• Experience scaling purchasing workflows and operational systems into enterprise-grade capabilities.
• Experience aligning procurement initiatives with organizational goals, business strategies, and financial models.
• Experience driving adoption of new procurement processes or platforms across teams.
