Pharmacy Operations Representative (Pharmacy)

Location: Remote within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 hours between 7 AM and 6 PM MST, with weekend rotation.

Base pay: $40,500–$72,500 annually.

What you will do

• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy coordinators with medical prior authorization issues.
• Review clinical documentation for medical necessity based on medical policy.
• Work with internal departments and external vendors to evaluate and resolve authorization-related issues.
• Apply drug information skills and managed care customer service expertise to support pharmacy operations.
• Manage multiple tasks while maintaining organized case handling and accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Current licensed or certified pharmacy technician status is required.
• Managed care customer service experience.
• Drug information, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related healthcare field, or four years of experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.

• Retail pharmacy experience.
