Sr Technology Architect – Hybrid Infrastructure & Cloud (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with three onsite days per week; willingness to travel as needed and adapt to changing onsite requirements.

What you will do

• Design and implement complex hybrid on-premises and AWS cloud solutions.
• Shape enterprise-wide technology strategies and modernization roadmaps.
• Develop resilient, scalable, and secure architecture frameworks.
• Produce architecture diagrams, technical standards, roadmaps, and executive-level presentations.
• Guide high-availability, disaster-recovery, security, and large-scale cloud migration initiatives.
• Manage stakeholders and provide technical leadership across infrastructure and cloud programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise technology experience, including architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Expertise in hybrid on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, RHEL, Windows Server, DB2, SQL Server, IBM MQ, and enterprise security principles.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, security frameworks, and modernization initiatives.
• Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite three days per week at the client facility in Winston-Salem, NC.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect or similar certification.
• Software development and SDLC experience.
• Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Kubernetes, or OpenShift experience.
• Experience with cloud governance, observability, FinOps, or enterprise cloud landing zones.
• Leadership of large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.
