IT Data Engineer (SAP)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines integrating multiple SAP and non-SAP sources.
• Develop database solutions for secure data collection, storage, and accessibility.
• Create data transformation algorithms that convert raw data into actionable business insights.
• Optimize data systems, architectures, pipelines, and datasets for efficiency and reliability.
• Implement data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA, CDS Views, ABAP fundamentals, SAP data extraction frameworks, and analytical data modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with SAP Data Integration, Databricks, modern data engineering frameworks, cloud data platforms, and data architecture.
• Excellent English communication skills are required. German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• German language skills.
