Aviation Technology Program Engineer (Associate Principal, Aviation Technology Engineer) (Aviation Technology)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States; hybrid role with local project-related travel and occasional international travel

Base compensation: $141,000–$186,000 annually

What you will do

• Serve as the primary day-to-day technical representative for a major aviation program.
• Coordinate with the owner, prime consultant, airport stakeholders, and multidisciplinary technology engineering teams.
• Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, design reviews, and coordination sessions.
• Coordinate aviation security, ICT, and technology systems across planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Identify schedule, scope, technical, and coordination risks and support issue resolution.
• Build relationships with airport operators, authorities, airlines, government agencies, contractors, architects, engineers, and technology vendors.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of aviation security technology engineering or consulting experience, preferably in an AEC or consulting environment.
• Experience supporting airport planning, design, or construction projects and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience working with airport operators, authorities, airlines, and government agencies on large capital aviation projects.
• Working knowledge of access control, security operations centers, airport operations centers, emergency operations centers, video surveillance, perimeter security, screening technologies, and related communications infrastructure.
• Familiarity with FAA, ICAO Annex 17, DHS/TSA airport regulations, and phased airport construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or another technical field; proficiency with MS Office and BIM360 Docs/Construction Cloud.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a business or technical field.
• Certifications such as PE, PMP, CPP, CPTED, RCDD, CTD-D, CISSP, CWNA, or PSP.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, or AutoCAD.
