Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform) (Brazil)

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Currently fully remote, with a planned transition to a hybrid setup.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Build secure systems for collecting funds, processing transactions, and disbursing funds to beneficiaries.
• Develop onboarding, KYC, and compliance systems aligned with regulatory standards.
• Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with high security and performance.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and infrastructure tools into distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and business teams while mentoring junior developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, web services, and REST APIs.
• Experience with architectural patterns such as Hexagonal Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms.
• Experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech and familiarity with the listed technology stack.
