Senior Video Streaming & Real-Time Media Engineer

Location: Remote from Mexico City, Bogotá, Guatemala, San Salvador, Costa Rica, Montevideo, Medellín, or São Paulo

What you will do

• Develop and maintain video processing and streaming solutions.
• Build media pipelines with GStreamer or FFmpeg and work with codecs, streaming protocols, and container formats.
• Implement real-time communication systems using WebRTC and related networking technologies.
• Develop and support AWS infrastructure using EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, load balancing, autoscaling, and caching.
• Contribute to multi-region deployments and troubleshoot streaming, networking, performance, and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on technical design, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Professional experience with video streaming, video processing, or real-time communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of real-time networking and media technologies, including RTP, WebRTC, STUN, TURN, SFU, and UDP.
• Strong experience with GStreamer or FFmpeg, H.264/H.265, HLS/DASH, and fMP4/TS.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, including S3, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, autoscaling, NLB, Global Accelerator, Valkey/Redis, and multi-region deployments.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• iOS video and real-time media development with Swift, WebRTC, AVFoundation, or VideoToolbox.
• Android video and real-time media development with Kotlin, WebRTC, or MediaCodec.
• C/C++ development experience.
