Automation Solutions Engineer (Terraform)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code foundations for cloud and hybrid environments.
• Create reusable Terraform modules with clean APIs and disciplined versioning.
• Manage Terraform state, backends, and large-scale workspace organization.
• Harden CI/CD pipelines and enforce policy-as-code for infrastructure delivery.
• Standardize infrastructure delivery across multiple teams, cloud providers, environments, and accounts.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• New H-1B visa sponsorship is not available; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates may apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of cloud infrastructure or DevOps engineering experience with significant Terraform focus; the position lists six or more years of experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with production Terraform, reusable modules, state management, cloud networking, identity, and security.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash, plus CI/CD, policy enforcement, Git workflows, and troubleshooting experience.

Nice to have

• Multi-cloud Terraform experience with AWS and Azure or AWS and GCP.
• Familiarity with Terragrunt, Atlantis, Spacelift, or env0.
• Experience with Sentinel, OPA, Checkov, public Terraform modules or providers, and FinOps practices.
