Aircraft Systems Installer - Mechanic (Contract) A220 (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Mobile Area, Alabama, United States. The role involves work on the final assembly line, aircraft parking areas, production facilities, flight lines, and airstrips, with occasional domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Prepare mechanical components at workstations, aircraft stations, and aircraft parking areas.
• Mark, prepare, assemble, adapt, torque, and secure mechanical components and parts.
• Install and manufacture aircraft systems for the A220 final assembly line.
• Inspect bonding according to orders, GTIs, drawings, and specifications.
• Work with mechanical systems and components in production areas, including at height and in confined spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in aviation production or an equivalent field.
• Knowledge of systems and mechanical tasks.
• Ability to work on fuselage jigs at heights up to 15 feet and hydraulic lifts up to 40 feet.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, use a respirator, and occasionally lift or carry up to 55 lb (25 kg).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods when required.

Nice to have

• Vocational school or employer training in application tools and techniques.
• Completed vocational training in mechanics or systems.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience in aviation production.
