Senior Network Architect (HPE Aruba)

What you will do

• Define enterprise network architecture, technical strategy, design standards, and multi-year roadmaps across private cloud, public cloud, offices, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and subsidiaries.
• Design HPE Aruba CX data center fabrics, Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN, cloud transit VPCs/VNets, wireless networks, private 5G, and IoT connectivity.
• Establish standards for network automation, Infrastructure as Code, Git repositories, CI/CD validation pipelines, and source-of-truth models.
• Develop network security architectures covering policy-based access control, dynamic segmentation, micro-segmentation, firewall perimeters, and secure access protocols.
• Lead architectural governance, capacity planning, lifecycle standards, cloud migrations, facility expansions, and M&A integrations.
• Provide third-tier escalation support, conduct architecture reviews, mentor network engineers, and maintain enterprise topology documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in network architecture or engineering and 10 years of network administration.
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF, as well as enterprise architecture and SDN.
• Advanced experience with HPE Aruba CX, Aruba Central, ClearPass, EdgeConnect SD-WAN, wireless architecture, dynamic segmentation, AWS/Azure networking, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Git.
• Strong strategic, organizational, communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work on site at the Waukesha, Wisconsin headquarters.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• HPE Aruba, HashiCorp Terraform, AWS Advanced Networking, or Microsoft Azure Network Engineer certifications.
• Experience with global cloud transit networks, multi-cloud connectivity, automated CI/CD network deployment pipelines, and industrial OT network segmentation.
