Patient Care Technician Adjunct Instructor

What you will do

• Deliver the standardized distance education curriculum according to the assigned schedule.
• Facilitate discussion forums, interactive course posts, weekly office hours, and student outreach.
• Grade course activities, post grades weekly, and monitor student performance.
• Provide constructive academic feedback and create learning support tools based on student needs.
• Maintain faculty records, follow institutional policies, and communicate with students and program leadership.
• Support student retention, certification, graduation, career placement, and compliance objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution with academic preparation in the courses taught.
• 15 semester credit hours in the subject field for healthcare instruction.
• At least 3 years of occupational experience.
• Active healthcare industry certification or licensure when applicable, along with any required accreditor or state regulatory credentials.
• Professional fluency in written and verbal English is required.
• Communication, presentation, organization, time management, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently and with supervision.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in education, healthcare, communication, nursing, or general studies.
• Experience applying adult learning principles to online teaching.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, learning management systems, student information systems, and synchronous instructional tools.
