Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing-Hybrid Position

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States. Hybrid work is permitted, but faculty must travel to campus for designated periods each semester, typically five to six visits per academic year, and attend selected university events.

What you will do

• Teach assigned didactic and immersive nursing courses in graduate and undergraduate programs, up to 15 semester credit hours per semester.
• Supervise and evaluate student progress in coursework and clinical experiences.
• Implement, develop, and evaluate nursing courses and curriculum.
• Advise students throughout their programs of study.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community and healthcare organizations.
• Participate in college and university committees and other activities supporting the school and nursing profession.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited university; ABD candidates must complete the doctorate before appointment.
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• At least five years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice registered nurse.
• At least five years of teaching experience in nursing education.
• Current, unencumbered Texas RN license and all APRN certifications required for the specialty.
• Availability to travel to Laredo and attend required on-campus immersive labs and university events.
