Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Data Analyst

Location: Farnborough, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. Candidates must meet applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, have the applicable residency eligibility, and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Some roles may be subject to nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Own the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and auditability of hardware asset records across the full lifecycle.
• Reconcile data between ITAM tools, CMDBs, discovery tools, procurement systems, finance, and physical audits.
• Identify and resolve ghost assets, unmanaged assets, duplicates, stale records, and cross-system mismatches.
• Build asset data quality KPIs, dashboards, lifecycle reports, reconciliation reports, and audit evidence packs.
• Align asset records with procurement, warranty, support contract, depreciation, capitalisation, and fixed asset data.
• Improve data governance, standards, workflows, automation, and root-cause resolution across the HAM function.

Requirements

• Experience in IT Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, or CMDB/configuration management data roles.
• Strong data analysis skills, including manipulation, reconciliation, and interpretation of large datasets from multiple sources.
• Experience with ITAM tools such as ServiceNow ITAM/HAM, Flexera, Snow, Ivanti, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with reporting and analysis tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, or equivalent.
• Understanding of hardware asset lifecycles, data governance, validation rules, audit trails, and data quality metrics.
• Must be eligible for UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• IAITAM certification such as CHAMP, CSAM, or CITAM.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
• Experience with automated discovery tools, ServiceNow Discovery, financial asset management, audits, or regulated and defence environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 19770, WEEE Directive requirements, data visualisation, scripting, or business intelligence platforms.
