Bankruptcy Collections Specialist III (Banking)

What you will do

• Manage complex delinquent accounts involving bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossession, REO/property preservation, remarketing, legal liaison, and post-charge-off collections.
• Contact borrowers, attorneys, and bankruptcy trustees to assess repayment prospects and arrange repayment schedules or alternative solutions.
• Perform skip tracing and recommend account placement with collection agencies, attorneys, brokers, and property preservation firms.
• Review collateral condition and asset value, negotiate sales with prospective buyers, and complete transactions with limited oversight.
• Coordinate with business partners and vendors to ensure service-level agreements are met.
• Support loss prevention, cost containment, compliance controls, audits, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in customer service, a customer-facing role, collections, call center work, or sales.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented approach and the ability to work with autonomy on skip-tracing activities.
• Ability to operate in accordance with company and regulatory compliance standards.
