Production Supervisor (Wound Film Capacitors)

What you will do

• Plan and direct daily manufacturing activities for the wound film capacitor line, release weekly work cards, manage priorities, and maintain schedule attainment.
• Run daily management systems, visual controls, escalation processes, and production records in the Boltline manufacturing execution system.
• Lead, develop, qualify, and supervise production leads, machine operators, assemblers, and technicians.
• Own in-process quality, electrical acceptance testing including HiPot, defect containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.
• Convert process knowledge into standard work, lead Lean Manufacturing and SPC initiatives, and support new product introduction and process development.
• Coordinate equipment care, preventive maintenance, materials readiness, inventory control, safety compliance, and production-line improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• At least 5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including 2 or more years directly supervising hourly production employees.
• Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing, structured problem solving, continuous improvement, data analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Ability to write clear work instructions and use Microsoft Office plus an MES or ERP; Boltline training is provided.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
• Must pass the pre-employment background check and work on-site in Tucson, Arizona.

Nice to have

• Experience in film and foil capacitors, high-voltage capacitor production, winding, vacuum drying and impregnation, electrical testing, or resin and oil-filled capacitor assembly.
• Experience with SPC, ISO 9001 quality systems, root cause corrective action, metallization, swaging, pulsed power, or Marx generator applications.
• Experience establishing a new production line, scaling pilot builds to production rate, or creating operator qualification programs.
• Experience with modern cloud MES platforms such as Boltline.
