Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations Management (Manufacturing)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing and cleanroom environment. Weekend day shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, with flexibility to alternate to Saturday–Monday and provide overtime support as needed.

Compensation: $71,500–$95,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Supervise and develop technicians across the Echucks and Specialty Coatings departments.
• Lead shift performance for safety, quality, delivery, schedule adherence, output, and OEE.
• Conduct safety and quality investigations, lead corrective actions, and facilitate 8D problem-solving with cross-functional teams.
• Run daily Tier meetings, conduct floor walks, and drive 6S initiatives and GEMBA walks.
• Coordinate with production planners to prevent delays and maintain delivery schedules.
• Build team capability through training plans, cross-training, mentoring, feedback, and participation in hiring.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom and handle chemicals while consistently following safety and PPE requirements.
• Associate or bachelor's degree and 5–10 years of supervisory experience in a demanding manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in a dynamic, diverse workplace.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system for production planning; familiarity with CamLine or SPC systems is relevant.
• Ability to work weekends, support technicians during overtime, and work beyond eight hours when production needs require it.
• Ability to lead safety and quality improvement, mentor employees, and use a systematic approach to problem-solving.
