Associate, Legal Operations (AI)

Location: New York City, NY

Base pay: $98,000–$124,000 per year, plus potential performance-linked bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Redesign legal workflows, remove unnecessary steps, and create counsel-approved self-service paths.
• Build and deploy AI workflows for drafting, playbook-based review, regulatory research, and regulator correspondence.
• Select and integrate additional tools with IT, Security, vendors, APIs, and technical systems.
• Lead testing, rollout, training, documentation, and adoption of new workflows.
• Establish evaluation, confidentiality, access-control, and human-review standards with Legal and Security.
• Structure legal knowledge, manage intake and routing, oversee outside counsel, entity filings, signatures, and routine automation.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in engineering, automation, or technical operations.
• Demonstrated delivery of AI-enabled workflows and measurable improvement after implementation.
• Hands-on experience configuring platforms, working with APIs, and using light scripting.
• Strong understanding of legal workflows, AI use cases, human review, and counsel involvement.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work with users, and deliver projects despite imperfect data and competing priorities.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, financial services, or another regulated environment is valuable; a law degree or traditional legal operations background is not required.
