Lead Frontend Architect (React)

Location: Hybrid in Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium

What you will do

• Own the front-end architecture of complex digital projects and guide technical delivery from pre-sales through production.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, technical designs, epics, and development plans.
• Develop complex front-end components and establish engineering standards focused on accessibility, performance, and quality.
• Support pre-sales through workshops, solution design, estimations, and client presentations while safeguarding project health.
• Coach developers through mentoring, code reviews, and constructive technical guidance.
• Maintain and improve development platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Docker environments, and cloud deployments while collaborating with project managers, designers, architects, developers, and account managers.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Dutch required; French is a plus.
• Strong experience defining front-end architectures and contributing to technical quotations and estimations.
• Professional experience with React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, and preferably TypeScript.
• Knowledge of headless and composable architectures, headless CMS platforms such as Contentful and Strapi, Shopify, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud-based deployments, Vercel, unit testing, accessibility testing, and performance testing.
• Ability to map requirements into workable technical delivery plans and provide technical leadership across client projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Drupal front-end theming, Vue.js, Node.js, Builder.io, Storybook, shadcn/ui, Vite, Webpack, Bootstrap, or n8n.
• Experience with Shopify Hydrogen, Liquid, or theme extensions.
