Domain Architect - Engagement Area (iGaming)

Location: Belgium Hub, Liège. Hybrid working model with remote work possible for up to 50% of working time.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the domain architecture for the Engagement Area, covering customer acquisition, communication, interaction, engagement and retention.
• Translate business objectives and capabilities into architectural direction, roadmaps and pragmatic technical solutions.
• Define domain boundaries, services, integration patterns, architectural principles, standards and guardrails.
• Design and guide scalable, resilient and maintainable distributed systems, including event-driven integrations and APIs.
• Collaborate with product, business and engineering leadership to support high-quality delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Assess designs, review code, validate prototypes and identify architectural risks, gaps and modernization opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of customer journeys, engagement funnels, behavioral analytics, tracking, attribution, experimentation and personalization.
• Broad knowledge of digital experiences, content, information modeling, design systems, metrics, UI/UX flows and user behavior.
• Strong background in software and backend system design, microservices and distributed architectures.
• Solid understanding of event-driven systems such as Kafka, messaging systems, API design, integration patterns, scalability, resilience and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of domain-driven design, architectural analysis, domain boundaries, service ownership and solution documentation.
• Independent, pragmatic architectural leadership with the ability to communicate decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and guide teams from direction to execution.

Nice to have

• Experience working in complex, high-throughput environments.
• Experience with hands-on data deep-dives, prototype validation and architecture tooling.
• Knowledge of analytics, experimentation and DataMesh integration.
