IT Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must live within 30 miles of Lincoln, Nebraska; Centennial, Colorado; or Madison, Wisconsin. The standard schedule includes 24 hours per week in the office for associates within 30 miles of an office.

Starting salary: $70,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and develop high-volume backend services and worker applications with C# and .NET.
• Build frontend web applications with Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements, design documents, and specifications.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL data stores, message-driven processing, service-oriented architecture, and containerized deployments.
• Monitor application performance, debug distributed workflows, and support production releases and on-call operations.
• Apply secure coding, testing, documentation, and maintainable clean-architecture practices.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a 6C Federal security clearance are required.
• Two or more years of software development experience preferred; junior-level candidates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Angular, TypeScript or JavaScript, SQL, relational modeling, and Entity Framework with LINQ.
• Experience with Git, automated unit and integration testing, Docker, AWS tooling, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Ability to work in an agile environment, communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, and support software in a complex regulatory environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Redis, IBM i Db2, or NServiceBus and similar messaging frameworks.
• Experience with WCAG and Section 508 accessibility expectations.
