Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $110,700–$171,800 per year, with potential bonus, equity, and applicable sales incentives

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain secure, extensible software components and enterprise-scale web services.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, QA, operations, compliance, and senior engineers.
• Apply coding patterns, security assessment processes, testing procedures, and code review standards.
• Identify risks, validate assumptions, estimate project work, and escalate design or delivery issues.
• Respond to production incidents during on-call rotations and deploy fixes under appropriate guidance.
• Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance through ongoing technical development.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing or implementing web-based or mobile applications.
• Experience creating maintainable code, applying coding best practices, debugging, and validating software assumptions.
• Experience creating test plans, configuring testing procedures, and resolving defects.
• Experience troubleshooting incidents and participating in on-call rotations.
• Ability to work at least 3 days per week in the Bellevue office.

Nice to have

• Experience building and testing enterprise-scale web services.
• Experience working on client-facing projects or technical teams.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
