Principal Business Architect (Enterprise Architecture)

Location: Remote, but must live within the National Capital Region and within commuting distance of Arlington, Virginia. Ad hoc on-site support may be required for projects, meetings, and special requirements.

Salary: $155,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and maintain integrated architecture views and business process models for Army installation management, energy, environment, and logistics domains.
• Translate customer needs into process specifications that support the architecture and design of systems and subsystems.
• Develop architecture models using OMG SysML 1.3, BPMN 2.0, and UML 2.3 standards.
• Perform annual capability and compliance assessments using Army architecture and portfolio repositories.
• Document operational gaps, change packages, compliance plans, business rules, information exchanges, and operational activities.
• Prepare analytical reports, recommendations, modernization and cloud migration actions, and monthly status report inputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Process Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in business enterprise architecture.
• Experience with process and portfolio analysis and optimization within government agencies.
• Familiarity with government business process modeling tools, including BPMN.
• Strong problem-solving and change management skills for government processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance and provide required on-site support.
