Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: New York, United States; in-person collaboration is expected

Salary: $190,000–$250,000 per year plus equity

Builds mission-critical Trust & Safety infrastructure for large internet platforms, including policy enforcement, AI-powered abuse detection, investigations, reporting, and moderation operations.

What you will do

• Build configurable AI agents that review content against customer policies and integrate them with durable workflows.
• Develop workflow nodes for moderation pipelines, NCMEC reporting, enforcement actions, and related automation.
• Improve review queue tooling for moderators and investigators, including decision overrides, labeling, forms, and skills-based routing.
• Build React analytics dashboards backed by Django and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop Salesforce and Zendesk integrations for two-way user communications and conversation history.
• Define reliability metrics, improve pipeline throughput, and participate in on-call ownership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software across the stack.
• Experience with Django or similar backend frameworks, React or similar frontend technologies, relational databases, and message or event systems.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions from data model through API to user interface.
• Experience with high-throughput, data-intensive systems and reasoning about latency, throughput, and scalability tradeoffs.
• Strong written communication for pull requests, Slack, and customer-facing documentation.
• Willingness to work in person in New York; relocation may be considered for the right candidate.

Nice to have

• Experience in Trust & Safety or abuse prevention.
• Startup or early-stage company experience.
• Familiarity with workflow automation systems, policy engines, or case management tools.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers or in a customer-facing engineering role.
