Supply Chain Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite at the Mississauga facility.

What you will do

• Lead demand planning, purchasing, procurement, and supply chain execution for new product introductions, manufacturing requirements, and special customer needs.
• Identify suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate purchases and contracts, and lead complex or critical sourcing projects.
• Manage supplier performance, approved supplier list updates, supplier non-conformances, delivery, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
• Oversee warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound freight, carrier contracts, customs requirements, and planning activities.
• Develop supplier networks, improve commercial terms, support outsourcing and insourcing decisions, and align site strategy with the global supply chain function.
• Provide material cost, availability, and suitability input to product development and drive inventory, purchasing price variance, and excess-material improvements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a technical purchasing environment, including people management.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business management or a related field; MBA is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of purchased goods and services, with strong forecasting and planning process experience.
• Experience with contract manufacturing relationships in machining and electronics assembly.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and/or FDA QSR-compliant environments is an asset; purchasing-program enrollment through PMAC, ISM, or a similar institution is expected.

Nice to have

• MBA qualification.
• Experience onboarding a large work statement from other sites.
• Experience with FDA-registered or regulated medical device manufacturing environments.
