Analytics Engineering Manager (AI/GenAI)

Location: Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom; hybrid. Spend 60% of the week collaborating from office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

What you will do

• Lead analytics engineers and make technical decisions for the cyber data platform.
• Transform, model, and standardise security data according to Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework standards.
• Analyse source, trusted, and curated security data to identify patterns, trends, and outliers with security analysts.
• Maintain data quality across security lake layers and manage catalogues, lineage, dictionaries, and transformation processes.
• Build AI-enabled and conversational analytics capabilities that support natural-language data exploration, insight generation, summarisation, and storytelling.
• Represent cyber data products to senior stakeholders, support recruitment and talent development, and manage budgets and service providers.

Requirements

• Experience as an Engineering or BI Manager leading teams and managing data projects at scale.
• Strong data warehousing, data modelling, and data architecture experience.
• Highly proficient SQL skills and solid experience with Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, big data technologies such as Spark, and ETL/ELT tools such as dbt.
• Experience with AI or GenAI for analytics, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and tools such as Databricks Genie, AI Agents, OpenAI, or Claude.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, version control, CI/CD pipelines, data governance, and trusted AI-ready data products.
