Principal Clinical Content- Physician (Clinical AI Strategist - UpToDate®) - Partnerships

Location: USA - Waltham, MA. Remote or hybrid: candidates within commuting distance of a hirify.global office may work hybrid; candidates outside commuting distance may work remotely. Travel of approximately 20% is required, and onsite attendance may be required during the interview process.

Salary: $173,500.00–$310,000.00 USD, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Clinical AI, Product, Engineering, Editorial, and Business Development teams to design and improve clinical AI and decision-support solutions.
• Contribute clinical expertise to clinical reasoning frameworks, decision pathways, evaluation methods, and real-world clinical decision-making models.
• Lead clinical validation activities, including test sets, benchmarks, safety evaluations, and expert testing.
• Translate clinician, customer, and partner feedback into product and system improvements.
• Provide clinical guidance during strategic partnerships, customer implementations, platform reviews, approvals, and sign-off processes.
• Design and communicate clinical outcomes studies and represent the clinical AI approach through presentations, publications, interviews, and case studies.

Requirements

• MD, DO, PharmD, Advanced Practice Provider, or equivalent clinical degree.
• At least five years of clinical practice, with experience in clinical research, medical education, patient safety, quality improvement, clinical informatics, or publishing.
• Strong academic or scholarly background and knowledge of evidence-based medicine and clinical decision-making.
• Experience designing, evaluating, and communicating clinical or outcomes research.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across clinical, technical, business, product, and research teams.
• Familiarity with generative AI in healthcare, including its opportunities, limitations, and clinical considerations; demonstrated leadership of complex clinical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Active clinical practice and board certification.
• Valid medical license in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience in product, digital health, clinical technology, business development, strategic partnerships, or customer-facing environments.
• Up to 20% clinical practice may be maintained, with the existing clinical stipend for physician editors continuing to apply.
