What you will do

• Shape secure communications and digital solutions for critical Defence programmes.
• Partner with customers and sales teams to qualify opportunities and define technology outcomes.
• Lead technical responses for public and private sector bids, proposals, and tenders.
• Design resilient solutions across telecommunications, connectivity, unified communications, and computing infrastructure.
• Coordinate technical, security, service, and commercial specialists throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Manage risks and maintain alignment with architecture governance and Secure by Design principles.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing technical responses for bids, proposals, or tenders, including requirements analysis, technical writing, solution development, and customer presentations.
• Practical infrastructure solution design experience in telecommunications and connectivity, unified communications, collaboration, or on-premises, cloud-hosted, or hybrid computing.
• Ability to translate business, operational, and technical requirements into secure, deliverable, and commercially viable architectures.
• Must hold or be eligible to achieve SC-level Security Clearance.
• Ability to bring together technical and non-technical contributors and own architecture through design and delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defence, Government, Critical National Infrastructure, or another highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of secure interconnection, network security, boundary protection, security assurance, risk management, or NCSC guidance.
• Experience with technology roadmaps, transition strategies, Defence architecture frameworks, or Model-Based Systems Engineering.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, CCNP/CCIE, Juniper, Fortinet, AWS, or Azure.
