Network Operations Center Technician

Location: Onsite in Tampa, Florida, supporting requirements at MacDill AFB

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually

What you will do

• Maintain and administer computer networks, systems software, applications, hardware, and configurations.
• Monitor system performance, analyze operational needs, and maintain system data and efficiency.
• Plan and implement network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Prepare operational documentation and develop or modify basic scripts for administration and performance issues.
• Coordinate network and server operations, resolve technical problems, and recommend configuration or hardware and software improvements.

Requirements

• High school education with 3–6 years of experience or equivalent experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification required, such as Security+ CE, SSCP, CND, or CCNA Security.
• Experience with Cisco routers and firewalls.
• Ability to work onsite in Tampa, Florida.

Nice to have

• Network Operations Center experience.
• Experience with Joint Communications Service Element or deployed communications.
• Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networks.
• Experience handling COMSEC materials, including Type 1 encryptors, SKLs, or KGs.
