EV Inspector (Microelectronics)

Location: 6635 Kirkville Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057, United States; onsite, 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Salary: $41,507–$65,608 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Perform final external visual and mechanical inspections of hybrid microelectronic units.
• Determine product acceptability using drawings, procedures, inspection techniques, and measurement equipment.
• Document nonconformances, maintain quality records, and manage external laboratory testing records.
• Verify product and quality-record compliance before customer shipment.
• Support engineering and manufacturing teams when deviations or quality issues arise.
• Develop controls and corrective solutions to reduce rework, scrap, and warranty escapes.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment working with quality or production records.
• Previous mechanical and visual inspection experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply microelectronic requirements including MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, IPC/J-Std, drawings, and procedures.
• Ability to use microscopes, cameras, mechanical and electrical measuring devices, databases, and product-recording systems.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.
