QA Lead (AI)

Location: Manchester, England; hybrid, with 1–2 days a week in the office. Candidates must currently be UK-based. Relocation support is available for the right person.

hirify.global is building an AI operating system for pharmacy that streamlines prior authorizations, paperwork, and care coordination for specialty pharmacy.

What you will do

• Build the UK QA function, including strategy, processes, tooling, and standards.
• Work with the US QA Lead to establish one coordinated QA organization.
• Define testing approaches for agentic workflows, LLM outputs, and other non-deterministic AI features.
• Write automated tests with Playwright and TypeScript, while also performing manual testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Help hire and develop the QA team as the company scales.

Requirements

• Experience building or growing a QA function and creating processes from an early stage.
• Practical experience testing AI-led products, or a strong understanding of how AI testing differs from conventional software testing.
• Hands-on ability across automated testing, manual testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Strong fundamentals in test strategy, defect management, and release processes.
• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Must currently be based in the UK and attend the Manchester office 1–2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic workflows, LLM evaluation, or evaluation frameworks.
• Experience hiring and leading QA teams.
