Senior QA Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland; hybrid work with three days per week in the Custom House Square offices and the remaining days remotely

hirify.global develops a cloud security platform that uses runtime context and eBPF-powered sensors to identify and prioritize risks, protect cloud infrastructure, and provide API security.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain test frameworks and tooling for backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Own test strategy across multiple teams, defining the right balance of unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as quality gates and improve flaky, slow, or unstable tests.
• Build test data sets and cloud environments to validate the accuracy of security findings.
• Contribute to performance, load, reliability, and quality measurement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, DevOps, Product, and Customer Success teams to reproduce issues and define acceptance criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or software development in test, including 2+ years leading test strategy.
• 2+ years of browser end-to-end testing experience with tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Strong programming skills in Golang, Java, TypeScript, or another high-level language, with experience testing backend services, APIs, microservices, and data-intensive systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and integration or contract testing.
• Strong communication, mentoring, code review, and cross-team influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance or load testing tools such as k6, Gatling, or JMeter.
• Background in cybersecurity, cloud security, or testing detection systems.
