Network Architect

Location: Farnborough, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security and residency requirements. Some roles may also have nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Define and maintain network architecture roadmaps aligned with client and organisational strategy.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical architectures for enterprise data and voice networks, including documentation, testing, and risk assessments.
• Research networking technologies, evaluate vendors and costs, and recommend investment decisions.
• Lead cross-functional teams delivering, implementing, and troubleshooting network architecture solutions.
• Support major proposals and develop strategies for winning business in new and existing accounts.
• Troubleshoot complex data, voice, and network hardware issues while maintaining operational stability and agreed service levels.

Requirements

• Experience with networks, LAN/WAN, network systems, data and voice networking, and enterprise computer environments.
• Experience working with proprietary software and hardware.
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, design, testing, project management, and prioritisation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for working with customers and colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Eligibility to meet applicable UK Government and contractual security and residency requirements, plus the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Industry-recognised certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
