Data Director, EU (Fintech)

Location: London or Barcelona office, or distributed working within the UK with ad hoc meetings in London. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available.

Salary: £150,900–£204,100 per year plus stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Data function for EU expansion and shape product and commercial strategy across new European markets.
• Size market opportunities, assess product-market fit, and guide pricing, positioning, and growth decisions.
• Set the EU data strategy, including event tracking, metrics, experiments, forecasts, and market learning foundations.
• Lead EU goal-setting, metric selection, and target-setting in partnership with Finance.
• Represent Data at ExCo and EU Tech Leadership level, improving analytical decision-making and cross-business collaboration.
• Build, grow, and retain a high-performing full-stack Data team while developing future Data leaders.

Requirements

• Director-level or above experience leading a strategic Data function.
• Experience building or scaling a data function in a new market, product line, or early-stage business.
• Ability to connect data architecture and detailed metrics with customer strategy, commercial outcomes, and product-market fit.
• Experience owning measurement systems, goal-setting, experimentation, metric definition, and target-setting with Finance.
• Experience influencing company-wide or division-wide decision-making and collaborating across business areas.
• Experience leading full-stack Data teams of individual contributors and managers and representing Data to C-level stakeholders.

• Experience with zero-to-one market expansion and operating effectively in ambiguous environments.
