Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania — hybrid, with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home

Salary: €5,000–€7,500 gross per month, negotiable depending on experience

What you will do

• Define and execute the DevOps strategy and roadmap as the first DevOps hire.
• Maintain, scale, and secure AWS-based infrastructure, including EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, ElastiCache, and OpenSearch.
• Refine GitLab CI/CD pipelines and standardize deployment workflows across teams.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and observability using DataDog and AWS CloudWatch.
• Establish security, cost-optimization, and operational best practices.
• Own incident response, production stability, and mentoring for developers and future DevOps engineers.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience scaling and maintaining production systems in fast-paced environments.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Experience implementing security best practices across cloud and CI/CD systems.
• Ability to lead DevOps initiatives autonomously and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English and Lithuanian.

Nice to have

• Experience with Argo CD or Argo Rollouts.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and standardizing engineering practices.
