DevOps Engineer (Tolling Services)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, deploy, and continuously improve highly available applications in a 24/7 environment.
• Support the full application lifecycle from deployment to productive operation.
• Analyze and resolve complex production incidents and improve system reliability, stability, and performance.
• Automate operational tasks and contribute to operational excellence in a cross-functional DevOps team.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, partners, and international engineering teams on electronic tolling solutions.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and provide occasional weekend support.

Requirements

• Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Practical knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, or comparable container platforms.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum collaboration and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call rotations and occasional weekend support.

Nice to have

• Helm, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Grafana, Prometheus, Ansible, or Kustomize.
• Maven, Java, Kafka, ActiveMQ, Oracle databases, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Red Hat Fuse, or Quarkus.
• Certificate and secret management experience.
• German language skills.
