Satellite Technician Electrical & Mechanical (Aerospace)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom, with some hybrid working available

What you will do

• Assemble, integrate, and modify satellite electrical systems, including complex harness routing, electrical connections, soldering, and crimping.
• Complete mechanical assembly and integration using bonding, torqueing, drilling, shimming, and unit installation techniques.
• Conduct continuity, bonding, insulation, and DC high-voltage tests and install the required test equipment.
• Perform first-level quality inspections and identify continuous improvement opportunities on the shop floor.
• Work from technical instructions, engineering drawings, work orders, and test procedures while maintaining production documentation.
• Support off-site testing and launch-site activities, including work at heights and travel to operational environments.

Requirements

• Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, integration, and testing, preferably in aerospace or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.
• Practical experience with soldering, crimping, harness routing, bonding, torqueing, drilling, and shimming.
• Ability to work accurately from technical documentation, engineering drawings, and job cards.
• Experience performing first-level quality inspections.
• Comfort working at heights and travelling for off-site testing and launch-site support.
• Must have or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
