Senior Payroll Analyst

Location: Remote - US; applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $86,973.00–$130,460.00 base salary annually.

What you will do

• Oversee the third-party payroll processing and tax filing provider, including service levels, issue resolution, and validation of payroll and tax outputs.
• Manage biweekly and semimonthly payroll processing for approximately 450 employees.
• Serve as the Workday Payroll subject matter expert and manage payroll-impacting configurations, testing, and change controls.
• Partner with HR, HRIS, and Finance to resolve payroll issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations covering earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Maintain payroll procedures, controls, job aids, and regulatory updates while resolving complex employee inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
• At least three years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience, including maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end payroll operations, competing priorities, and multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll information clearly.
• Already authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and immigration support are not available.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing a third-party payroll and tax services provider.
• Workday Payroll configuration experience, including earnings and deduction codes, calculation rules, business processes, and integrations.
• Experience with multi-state payroll tax filings, agency notices, registrations, and year-end reporting.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
