Senior N2 Application Support Engineer – Financial Applications

Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Lead structured user conversations to identify anomalies and collect troubleshooting details.
• Reproduce incidents in test environments and document clear reproduction steps.
• Analyze front-end, middle-office, and back-end application layers using browser tools, logs, and read-only database checks.
• Develop root-cause hypotheses, deduplicate anomalies, and prepare structured escalations.
• Support incident qualification, triage, and consolidation while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Maintain support documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in user or application support and incident handling in multi-layered environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, and SQL read-only queries.
• Strong understanding of front-end, middle-office, and back-end architecture, data flows, and integration points.
• French at C2 level and English at B2 level.
• Ability to analyze complex issues end-to-end and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Certifications or additional training in financial applications or IT support.
• Experience with network analysis, log tracing, or application performance monitoring.
